Shannon found this well stocked wine bar during her morning walk around Cefalů. There is a small tasting bar at the entrance, and a tiny balcony at the rear overlooking the beautiful sea. We sat on that balcony at sunset, and shared a delicious bottle of "Duca Enrico" Sicilian wine while watching the sky and water turn mirror shades of pink and aqua blue ... and spent time just being there. (You can see a photo of that sunset in my Sicily gallery on SlowTrips.com.) The owner's daughter, Maria, was very sweet and helpful. When we were choosing wines for the following week's stay at a villa, she recommended well-priced wines based on what we told her of our wine likes and dislikes. We never felt she was "up selling" us higher priced bottles. We spent about €100, and when she realized I wasn't going to purchase the limoncello I'd been tempted by, she *gave* us a bottle! Highly recommend!! This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
