Great place frequented mostly by locals, I didn't see any tourists. Sits in the triangle formed by intersecting streets, under two large awnings with a grill set up in the corner; bordered by a wall of plants on three sides. Location is several blocks off the center of town.

Found this place accidentally while wandering around one evening. I ordered risotto with finferlie (a wild yellow mushroom), listed as a special, for 8 euro (really a plateful, enough for two to share, and delicious.) House wine is 1.60 euro a glass. German is spoken, very little English, some Italian. Specializes in grilled meats accompanied with grilled veggies, at least outside while the weather is warm enough.

Went there the next night with DW and we shared risotto, home made spinach ravioli and grilled salacci with vegetables - plenty of food, wonderful cooking.

The next night I went inside because it was getting chilly, about twelve tables inside: four elderly people playing cards in the corner, two street workers, two others and a few elderly men sipping wine. A fellow next to me was served a "stew" like dish in a 1 1/2 qt. copper saucepan so I pointed to that. It was delicious, a stew of grilled roasted potatoes, onions, meat slices seasoned with bayleaf and basil. It came with a slaw of fresh cabbage.

I asked the waitress, whom I had seen for three nights now, what it was called and she said "Dagmar." I indicated that I meant the stew. She said "Grostlea" (a guess at the spelling) several times and then brought the menu to show me. It cost 12.50 euro. Dagmar is about 6'1", weighs about 110 lbs, jet black hair with jeans, a black turtle neck and long silver earrings.
