We loved this place! We started with a delicious Sicilian Chardonnay recommended by the woman who was hostess and server (and I think owner). Starters included a dish of short, homemade pasta with a parsley pesto, little clams and shrimp. I had "monkey-fish" balls with favas and grated cheese. The little balls were tasty but the dish as a whole kinda missed. The best of the starters was black tortelli stuffed with fish with a beautiful, perfectly seasoned seafood sauce. For secondo we had the fantastic guinea fowl, faronna, with a sweet wine sauce and a caponatta. Also had a delicate filet of dentrice with potato cream sauce. I ordered another starter, "tepid duck breast" with a wonderful sauce. Great desserts and after dinner wine, too. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
