Fantastic seafood restaurant in a vibrant neighborhood

The owner, Lolo, is the President of the Rialto fish market and he brings the best of the market to his restaurant everyday.

We chose the tasting menu, which was 3 courses for €45 per person.

The antipasto course began with one very large and three small broiled scallops, with the roe, in their shells and was beautifully presented. Next up was a large plate with a pool of white polenta in the center. Surrounding the polenta was: baccala, sarde in saor, several connochie (a shrimp like animal) and a fish mousse.

For the main course, there was a choice of fritto misto or a mixed grill of fish. Since there were two of us, we ordered one of each. The fritto misto was the best I have ever had! So light and non-greasy. It also contained carrots and zucchini. The mixed grill of fish was wonderful as well and contained prawns, branzino, orata and cuttlefish. The servings were very generous.

For dessert, we opted for a plate of Buranelli cookies and a glass of moscato. As we were finishing up, Lolo came by and offered us grappa, which we happily accepted! He took the time to chat with us for a bit and he was very gracious. The service was excellent and the welcome was warm. We felt that for the stellar quality of the seafood, the price was very reasonable.

There is also seating in a pretty outdoor courtyard, weather permitting.
