Nice choice for a meal in Ravenna, with meat and seafood on the menu.

Swordfish carpaccio with burata, photo by Amy

We bumbled into this place for lunch after we found our first choice unexpectedly closed. Very popular with the business crowd (there is a simple daily lunch menu of pasta and dessert) - at 1:30 the place was packed, and at 2:30 seemingly everyone but us brought their lunch tickets up to the cashier. Nice, elderly waiters, comfortable interior and a small outside area. We shared a tasty antipasto of squacquerone (soft local cheese) with piadina (flatbread). I had a pristine swordfish carpaccio with burrata; and my husband enjoyed a nicely crisp fritto misto of shrimp, calamari, and zucchini. Delicious lunch. A bottle of white wine, one antipasto, two secondi, and two coffees was 49 euros.
