Directions: Closest vaparetto stop is Ca' D'Oro. Turn left on the Strada Nova, cross one bridge and take the 1st right on the Fondamenta d. la Chiesa. We have eaten here a number of times, most lately in January of 2012. Every meal has been wonderful. Not only do they serve excellent seafood, but meats as well. This is one of our favorite places to eat on Sunday, when the Rialto fish market is closed and we decide to eat meat instead. Pastas and gnocchi are excellent and the wine list is amazing. Don't feel intimidated by the list though, they offer up some very reasonably priced house bottles. I still dream about the deep fried soft shelled crabs they managed to get ahold of one day... For an antipasto (usually split between the two of us), two primi, two secondi, a bottle of house wine, dessert, coffee, grappa and water, our bill is typically around 100 to 125 euros. Reservations recommended. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
