Slow Masters - Artisans in Italy

This series of notes and articles, highlighting the master craftsmen of Italy by region, sprang from a desire by Slow Travel forum participants to support local aritsans and craftsmen in Italy. Letizia Mattiacci, of Alla Maddona del Piatto (a B&B and cooking school in Assisi) initiated that discussion and wrote a fabulous introduction with reasons why we should buy Italian craft products and tips for finding them: Slow Masters, an Introduction.

Below is our ever-growing list of Italian artisans. Click here to download a list of the artisans sorted by region. Click here to download a list of the artisans sorted by type of artistry. If you would like to submit a piece about your favorite Italian artisan, click Submit Travel Notes.
