Dreadful ... we stayed in La Foresteria's ROSSIGNOLA apartment during July. The main kitchen / living area has only 2 small windows (it is in the upper floors.) The lack of natural light makes it feel very dark, especially as the artificial lighting is inadequate. Air-conditioning in the main living section took a long time to make the room comfortable in the middle of a hot Italian summer. Not helped by the staff not being able to operate it.

This is the kind of place that has aspirations towards luxury but has spent its money in the wrong places, i.e. the marble bathroom with all the "la foresteria" labelled soaps, but the bland prints on the walls and inadequate kitchen.

Kitchen standard 80's grey Formica. Only 2 gas rings in this "fully equipped" kitchen. No oven. Smelt dreadfully of industrial cleanser. The broken fridge door which would not stay shut.

Worst of all we were charged 45 euro a night for the use of perhaps the most uncomfortable sofa bed I have ever attempted to sleep on. Breakfast was no better than you find in any B&B across Italy and the coffee was dreadful.

There are so many lovely places to stay in Verona/Lombardy, please don't waste your time here.
