Review 1153: Palazzetto da Schio, Apartment
apartments in Dorsoduro, Venice
October, 1 week
Dorsoduro, near the Salute on a pretty canal. Loved the area.
Only a traghetto away from San Marco. Amenities a short walk away in the direction of the Accademia.
Historic Palazetto. Apartment filled with Venetian antiques. I think about 4 apartments in all.
A lovely garden. Our apartment looked out on to it.
Fabulous antiques, comfortable bed, old, but very fine and clean linens. Lots of chairs, a table, bookcase.
Comfortable beds, lovely bedroom. Our apartment also had an alcove that could sleep two more in twin beds. Nice bathroom. Huge tub.
Totally usable kitchen. Everything you could want.
Problems or Bonuses
Would stay again in a heartbeat. A dream come true.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
Very prompt e-mail responses, very charming and helpful, very gracious, and a delight to know.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
I have told all my friends to stay here, strangers on the street, shouting it from the rooftop.
Things to do in this area
The Guggenheim is just around the corner. We enjoyed cocktails on the Zattere. Venice is all around you, but you are away from crowds, in a very pretty area, with refreshing breezes. It was heaven, all and more you could dream about.
