2bed/2bath apartment near Colosseum, Rome 
WhenSeptember, 2004, 5 nights LocationThe location of this apartment is great. A 5-minute walk to the Colosseum and very close to other major sites. The street is very quiet in a nive residential section of Rome. Nearby AmenitiesWithin 1-2 blocks you can find eateries, coffee, and banks as well as easily get cabs and other public transportation. The House/ApartmentThe apartment had just been renovated and had everything you would need. The hosts were very friendly and gave us lots of great information on Rome (where to eat, shop, sites to see, etc.). They really made us feel at home. The kitchen was stocked with breakfast goodies, Italian coffee, olive oil, pasta, etc. all the things you would need should you wish to dine or snack in. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartment was very clean and the furniture was in very good condition. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bedrooms were both a nice size. The beds, typical of European beds were slightly more firm than Americans are used to but provided a good place for a comfortable nights sleep. The fact that the bedrooms were air conditioned was also very nice. The showers in the bathrooms are very small but were fine. We could have used a few more towels for our stay. KitchenThe kitchen, although small was just perfect. It was clean and we had everything we needed. Problems or BonusesThe hosts provided us with a cell phone while we visited allowing us to check in with them, call ahead for reservations at museums or restaurants. It was a very nice touch. Agency and Representatives (and price)Our hosts spoke very good English and treated us very well. The information on their website accurately reflects the apartment and the price was very fair.
