apartment on estate near Asciano, Tuscany South WhenJuly 2001, 1 week ReviewMy wife and I just spent the first week of our honeymoon in Tuscany (July 2001). I rented a villa apartment in Asciano for a week from Rentvillas.com. Although the apartment was rather small, the pool and grounds were lovely. Unfortunately there is an apartment building going up just below the pool area which may obstruct some of the view of the town. From our apartment in the back of the house, the views were charming. The larger apartment Saripoli 1 was really great, but of course it cost more as well. Our apartment was fine, but not special. The kitchen, eating area, and living room were all one room, but it was still much better than staying in a hotel. The pool and garden area was beautiful and I don't think that the new apartment building will be too bad. It was hard to tell how much higher it would go, but it looked like there might be just one story visible above the pool hedge.
