2bed/2bath apartment in Trastevere, Rome

Location

Very close to streetcar and buses. It is in the Trastevere section among many nicely restored apartments and houses.

Nearby Amenities

All within walking distance - Internet "caffe" right across the square: reasonable and convenient. Tourist Info with maps, newstand within 3 minutes walk.

The House/Apartment

Old historic building restored 5-6 apartments. Rented apartment was in first class shape.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Comfortable, clean - bathrooms newly redone, kitchen first rate but small, but more than sufficient. Everything was clean and in good shape. Had Michelin "Rome City Guide" on the shelf - much appreciated. Best place to buy at the Termini Bookstore (at Railroad Station).

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Excellent - conveniently sleeps four.

Kitchen

See above - all modern dishes and appliances, including dishwasher.

Problems or Bonuses

Surprised how nice it was and how convenient - would stay there again. No bad surprises.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Very polite and courteous - no problems. Spoke good English, price was €1,290-week - very competitive.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Highly recommend - we are Europe-wide travelers and for the price you could not beat it. Tourist office more than supplies info given out by concierges. Hope we can find the same in London and Paris.

Things to do in this area

It is very close to transportation to all major sites downtown - weekly bus/tram/metro ticket is very convenient and inexpensive to all major sites. Would strongly urge any tourist not to drive.

By all means use pick up and delivery limo service offered by rental office - it is reasonable and safe - and keeps you sane.
