1bed/1bath apartment in Trastevere, Rome
September 2004, 5 days
The location of this rental was by far its best feature. It was in the Trastevere area - via della luce - a quiet back street in a very convenient area.
The apartment was in walking distance to everything you need including supermarket, great restaurants, taxi rank, tourist information and numerous internet cafes.
The apartment had its own entrance onto the street and was not part of a complex. It was an old building but in great condition and the location was peaceful and quiet which must be hard to find in Rome. There were very few windows in the apartment but the front door could be opened for natural light.
No outside area.
The apartment was very clean and well furnished. There was a large dining room table and a sofa as well as other single chairs.
The bathroom was a shower only but this was more than adequate. The bed was comfortable.
There were plenty of utensils and pots and pans in the kitchen. The kitchen was easy to cook in and we used it most nights to cook a full meal.
Problems or Bonuses
Better location than we expected and excellent value for money given this.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
Marco Agretti was the most attentive travel agent I have dealt with around the world. He was friendly, efficient and helpful even arranging accommodation for us in areas that he does not usually market. I look forward to using Marco on future trips to Italy.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
Absolutely. The location could not be beaten. Although the apartment was a little dark this would not impact our decision to stay here again as the location and value for money were great.
