apartment sleeps 6 in Cannaregio, Venice

Location

The apartment is is the heart of a residential district and within close reach to all the main attractions in Venice - St Marks Square, Rialto etc. Overlooking a canal it is opposite a vaporetto (boat) stop that takes you to the Grand Canal or out to the islands. The area itself is lovely and full of locals. It's close to a wonderful food market and several excellent restaurants.

Nearby Amenities

The apartment is close to several excellent and local places to buy groceries including a wonderful weekend market.

The House/Apartment

The apartment is in wonderful condition and if I could kidnap their cleaner I would, the place is spotless! Decoration is light and bright and modern. We were particularly impressed with the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen had every appliance and utensil we could hope for while the bathroom was stocked with lovely fluffy towels and a good hair dryer.

What really sets it apart is the thought the owners have put in with regard to making our visit as easy as possible. A range of guide books is always helpful but can be baffling. The Visit Venice team supplied a guide to the books plus a whole file on their own recommendations. Even the instructions on finding the place were easy taking the stress out of it all.

Garden

No garden which is typical for Venice.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Everything was is great shape with plenty of room on 2 comfortable sofas. The apartment was very clean and even the bedding smelled lovely. For English readers, everything was from John lewis from bedding to crockery - so great quality.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bedrooms were very clean and comfortable and as with everything else, well thought out - they even provided hangers for skirts! The bathroom was brilliant, lots of light, very modern, great fulffy towels and a hairdryer.

Kitchen

A full, modern kitchen is provided with lovely crockery and every utensil you can think of.

Problems or Bonuses

Very thoughtful consideration of your every need from spare umbrellas and wellington boots to thoughtful information on getting around and sight-seeing. You can tell that they want you to have a great time.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

All through the website and the keys and maps were delivered very quickly.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would recommend this apartment without hesitation, it's great value for Venice and I think you would be hard pushed to find a better value place in such great shape so close to the centre of Venice.
