apartments on an estate near Sinalunga, Tuscany South WhenDecember 26, 2004 - January 2, 2005, 1 week LocationJust outside the very small town of Rigomagno in the country. Absolutely gorgeous area. You need a car to access. 15th century farmhouse converted into apartments. Nearby AmenitiesSinalunga was 6 km away and had restaurants and a large grocery store. The House/ApartmentThe building was beautiful and in excellent shape. There are at least three other apartments, I am not certain of the number. We had part of the ground floor of the main farm house. GardenThere was a large, beautiful pool, but due to it being December, it was covered. The grounds are exquisite. Very well maintained. Plenty of outdoor seating in the right season. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasWe couldn't have asked for better! The apartment was spotlessly clean. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the furnishings were all very nice. Perfect amount of chairs for everyone. I could have lived there indefinitely!! Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bathroom was lovely - marble throughout and good water pressure in the shower. KitchenYou could cook a gourmet meal in this kitchen. Absolutely everything we needed was furnished, down to the wine opener, glasses and all baking utensils. A very pleasant surprise. Nice coffee maker too! Problems or BonusesThe owner of the property, Ms. Michela, was extremely kind and helpful to us. She was easily reachable when I had questions about operating the washer and dryer, and lived close so if we had run into any problems (which we did not) she would have been able to come quickly. Agency and Representatives (and price)The agency was WONDERFUL. We dealt with Luca the most often, who spoke perfect English and took very good care of us. Their website has a very accurate representation of the villa, but it's even nicer than shown. No pictures can do the area justice. I think we paid something like 900 euros for the week, which was a deal for 4 people in such a great location. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? My sister-in-law is dying of ALS, and this trip was her wish. My husband and I took her and her husband, and stayed the bulk of the time at Casa Genziana. I HIGHLY recommend it. On a trip where I wanted everything to be perfect for my husband's sister, Casa Genziana, the owner Ms. Michela, and summerinitaly.com could not have possibly been more accommodating and kind to us. My husband and I will definitely be back. Things to do in this areaYou must eat at L'coccole dell'Amorosa just outside of Sinalunga. Absolutely first rate service, food and ambience.
