2bed/1bath apartment outside the center, Rome When9 -16th March 2005, 1 week LocationCosy 84 square meter apartment (approx. 840 square feet) on the 3rd floor in a building just outside Rome for 4 persons. On walking distance from public traffic, so you do not get stuck in the traffic. Nearby AmenitiesThe nearest shops (supermarket, pharmacy, haidresser, boutique etc) are at 700 meters (7 min by foot) while the G.R.A (Grande Raccordo Anulare - Ring Road) is 3km away (5 min by car). The House/ApartmentThe inside of the apartment was refurbished in 2000 and in a perfect shape. The outside 2 balconies are being refurbished now without any trouble. GardenThere is no pool. One can sit on each of the 2 balconies and join the quiet surroudings. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe answer is YES to all the above questions - good and comfortable furniture. Bedrooms/Bathrooms1 room with double bed 1 room with 2 beds 1 bathroom with bath and toilet KitchenAlso the answer is YES to all of the above questions. Well equipped and good kitchen. Problems or BonusesThe owner takes good care of his guests, because the apartments is fully equipped and loaded with documentation and information on Rome, Lazio and the public transport. Surprise for us was being welcomed with a bottle of wine and 4 glasses on the kitchen table. The problem and your luck is that you need at least 2 pairs of shoes (for all the walking) but the prices for new shoes are fair and even cheaper than in Holland. Agency and Representatives (and price)Rental was booked via Internet and we found the week price fair. All and everything was handled in good order. We felt nothing could go wrong, because we (the owner and I) had a frequently email correspondance. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? To be very honest: YES I would stay here again. Things to do in this areaI think that everybody knows what to do in Rome. We only had dinner with the Argentine and we can recommend that restaurant too. Rest of the time we had dinners in Rome and in the apartment. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
