Review 1360: Dolce Roma, Roman Forum
studio apartment in Monti, Rome
25 - 29 March 2005
We found this lovely apartment through reviews on this website. We stayed here for 4 nights in march – it was fantastic.
The apartment was on the second floor in a quiet back street (that felt very safe), very close to the Colosseum, Roman Forum and a metro station.
Walter was excellent in showing us where to go (especially the church San Clemente) and he showed us how to get around, even though it was 1am when we got to the apartment he still spent time with us.
The apartment itself was so comfortable and cozy, with wonderful décor and a balcony overlooking a garden, it felt like a home from home.
There were also a lot of nice extra touches, like the provisions – tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, French toasts, everything you need for breakfast. Also there was lots of tourist information, maps etc. and a mobile phone to keep in touch with the owners if we needed anything or if they needed to get in touch with us.
Natalia also arranged a taxi pick up at the airport which was definitely worth it as we were arriving very late and it was a set fare.
I also want to recommend Il Margutta Ristorante (via margutta) it’s a veggie restaurant (my husband who isn’t veggie really enjoyed it as well). They were serving a special Easter Buffet (as many trips to the Buffet as you could manage!!) all of it was delicious, try to save room for the desserts.
We can’t wait to go back to Rome and will definitely be staying in this apartment again.
