Vacation rentals in Italy (villas, farms, estates, agriturismo, apartments)
Review 1385: Sant' Antonio, Apartment
apartments on an estate near, Montepulciano, Tuscany South
April 2005, one week
Beautiful setting outside of Montepulciano in a Tuscan countryside.
Must drive to everything, beautiful walks along the countryside, however. Nearest grocery, Conrad, was within 5 minutes drive.
An old convent.
Pool, sitting areas everywhere with views, common areas shared.
Furniture was old but what we expected. Apartment was very clean, plenty of seating. Good beds.
Beds were large and very comfortable, large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
Very usable kitchen with everything needed to cook (except for an oven). Larger refrigerator than what we have at home in Germany! We enjoyed cooking at the apartment more than eating out (probably due to the kids).
Problems or Bonuses
A bit of mold growing on the bathroom ceiling but no big deal. Ran out of hot water quickly during showers. Extra payment for heating.
Agency and Representatives (and price)
Nico is wonderful and very cooperative and accommodating. Speaks perfect English. Paid 805 Euro for a two bedroom, two bathroom villa for a Wed to Wed rental in April.
Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?
I'd most definitely stay here again. What a beautiful property! Works WELL for families especially and for those who like more room, a fireplace, and a kitchen for cooking.
Things to do in this area
Take daily drives to Tuscan villages. Don't miss Pienza. Montepulciano very nice too - scenic, many cafes, several restaurants, shopping, etc. We only ate out at La Grotta near the San Biagio church. LOVED Pienza and visited there three times.
