2bed/1bath apartment Cannaregio/San Marco, Venice WhenApril 26 - 30, 2005, 4 nights LocationGreat location, very close to vaparatto stop, good street with supermarket, pharmacy, and bakeries conveniently located nearby. Nearby AmenitiesGrocery store - 1 block. ATM right at door, bakery and coffee shop directly across street. Everything was great. The House/ApartmentHistorical building, but in great shape. Kitchen had all the amenities, and was very modern. The apartment was peaceful, with double-paned windows and shutters. Saturday night people were singing, but it was very muffled. GardenNo garden - looked out either on an unkept courtyard from the kitchen, or to the street. We really enjoyed the busy street and all the shops, so we were thrilled with the view. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe house was very clean, and there was plenty of everything. The furniture was in good shape. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds were comfortable. The bathroom was good. KitchenThe kitchen was great. Everything there was nice and in good shape. Plenty of dishes, cups, pots and pans. Agency and Representatives (and price)We were met at the boat dock as planned with an English speaking host, who took us to the apartment, showed us everything and gave us a good map. The price was all-inclusive and was reasonable for Venice. We paid $1100 American for 4 nights. Best Western wanted $1400 for the same time period. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Definately - it was terrific. We traveled with small children and it was perfect. Things to do in this areaThe grocery store was great, and we mostly ate in. We walked everywhere or to the water bus.
