June 21 - July 2, 2005

Location

This farmhouse is outside of Montepulciano Stazione by itself. The grounds are absolutely wonderful. 150 fruit trees, vegetable garden (that you are welcome to use), swimming pool that you can swim in, and the most wonderful hosts. We had dinner with them on 3 separate occasions, all excellent. The location is close to all the hill towns in Southern Tuscany and Northern Umbria.

Nearby Amenities

The nearest restaurants and groceries are about a 5 minute drive.

The House/Apartment

We stayed with another couple in the Le Girasole apartment. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a large living-kitchen area between. Everything was in very good condition. New bathrooms and beautiful paintings on the walls that Marzia, the owner painted. Very clean.

Garden

We had our own outside area or we could go to the pool.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Yes to all (furniture in good shape, comfortable, apartment was clean, enough chairs in living and dining rooms).

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Very comfortable beds, new bathrooms.

Kitchen

We did not do any real cooking. There is plenty of everything. No oven, but 4 burners, refrigerator and microwave.

Problems or Bonuses

The owners were WONDERFUL!

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We will definitely be returning; maybe not until 2007, but a definite return.
