Last week of June 2000, 5 nights

Location

Beautiful 16th century villa, upper apartment in small town 10 km north of Padua, about 30-40 minutes to Venice. Beautiful parklike grounds, beautiful estate. In countryside outside small town.

Nearby Amenities

You need a car to go anywhere.

The House/Apartment

Historical building in beautiful shape. Totally modern kitchen and bathrooms. Air Conditioning in some rooms, but not really needed where it isn't.

Garden

Beautiful estate with walking and sitting areas. Shared with family but I never saw them outside really.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Beautiful furniture and accommodations. Very clean. Excellent taste.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Bedrooms charming. Bathrooms couldn't be better.

Kitchen

Cheerful usable kitchen.

Problems or Bonuses

Wonderful local restaurants (much cheapter than Venice). Our routine was to drive about 10 minutes to the town of Dolo where we did (free and totally safe) park and ride on the local commuter train. 20 minutes later we were in Venice. This was perfect for us since we had little children with us.

The only negative: barking dogs.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Agency lovely and accommodating. Owners on premises are educated professionals who are friendly, helpful and intelligent.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Highly recommended. We could see as much of Venice as we liked (as well as Veneto hilltowns) and come "home" to our Villa Estate for some country peace and quiet and fresh air.

Things to do in this area

Excellent for visiting not only Venice but Verona, Vicenz, Padua, Asolo, Veneto hilltowns and Palladian villas.
