Central Bologna.

Nearby Amenities

"Upscale" grocery store/deli in the building next door.

The House/Apartment

Apartment is on the fourth floor of a relatively modern mid-rise apartment building.

Garden

Small balcony off living room.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The apartment is spotless, and beautifully furnished and decorated with the owners' many paintings, books, and antiques. The dining room table seats at least 8, there are enough sofas and chairs in the living room to seat at least 15 people. The owners live here most of the time, and maintain the apartment impeccably.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Queen bed in the one bedroom, sofa bed in the other; both adequately comfortable.

Kitchen

A wonderful kitchen, provisioned with quality pots, pans, dishes, and glassware.

Problems or Bonuses

The owners, Novella and Luciano, left us a "welcome" gift basket, and stocked the refrigerator with the items we had requested through Doorways. They are a lovely, gracious couple who made us feel very welcome in their home.

The only misrepresentation on the Doorways web site is that the apartment is not "a few minutes" walk to the two towers ... it is over a mile, and about a 20-minute walk.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The price was $1872 USD for six nights, which we thought was fair given the size and quality of the apartment. The owners met us upon arrival, and both speak fluent English. The photos of the apartment on the web site understate how lovely the plave really is.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would definitely recommend this apartment; it is among the nicest we have rented in Europe.
