studio apartment in Monti, Rome

Location

In ancient Rome - close to the Forum, Colleseum and not too far from the Termini. We enjoyed being in this neighborhood.

Nearby Amenities

We could easiy walk within 2 or 3 blocks to many different venues for meals, groceries. There was even an "Irish" bar down the road about a block!

The House/Apartment

This is a very well-kept apartment with a lift and air-conditioner that has been personally decorated by the very talented owner.

Garden

No outside area.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Yes - furniture comfortable, in good shape. Apartment clean. Enough furniture for everyone.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

It was a very comfortable queen-sized bed. The bathroom was very modern and well-stocked. The shower is a typical Roman shower - you had to rather slither in and out, but the shower itself worked very well.

Kitchen

It was a tiny kitchen, but usable. We cooked simple things like cheese omelets and made salads. If we had more time, I would have cooked a full meal. Plenty of kitchenware.

Problems or Bonuses

When we arrived, the owner's husband was waiting for us. He welcomed us and sat down with us to discuss places to go for dinner, sightseeing, etc. We were given a cell phone if we needed to speak with him. Also, he arranged for a cab to the airport for the morning we departed. He was very helpful.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Very professional. I tried to book with them again for October, but they were already booked (sigh).

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Yes I recommend this vacation rental. Absolutely.

Things to do in this area

Walking distance of many sites. Rome being what it is, there are too many things to mention! Our favorite trattoria was Vecchi Roma, about 2 blocks down the street.
