2bed/2bath apartment near Spanish Steps, Rome WhenJune 2005, 1 week LocationThis apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a 16th century building halfway between Piazza Barberini and the Spanish Steps. Nearby AmenitiesEverything was in walking distance ... many, many restaurants, a grocery store within a 10 minute walk, the Spanish Steps, Villa Medici, the Borghese Gardens, etc. The House/ApartmentBeautiful layout, coffered ceilings with beautiful Venetian glass fixtures, antique furnishings, wooden floors, comfotable beds, lovely artwork,etc. Only drawback - no airconditioning and located on a fairly busy street (Via Sistina). Quite warm in a Roman heatwave. Early Summer, Spring, Fall or Winter ... no problem. GardenNo garden, but a short walk to a beautiful area of the Borghese Gardens. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasVery clean and comfortable. Smallish kitchen, but typical of Rome and well supplied. Small showers of course and no bathtub. We really enjoyed the beautiful antiques, art and feeling of old Rome. Bedrooms/BathroomsVery good beds. Clean bathrooms with everything needed. KitchenPlenty for all our needs, lots of utensils, coffee making system, etc. Loved being in the kitchen (occasionally!) as you could hear and see the birds and lots of interesting street sounds. Agency and Representatives (and price)The onsite person, Violetta, was an angel .. very helpful when you needed her and invisible when you didn't. I have used RentVillas before and will use them again .. very professional and there to help as you have questions. Excellent selection of rentals throughout Europe. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Yes ... with the caveat of the no air-conditioning factor. Things to do in this areaCapuchin Crypts, Borghese Gardens, Piazza Quirnale, lots of museums, churches, three minute walk to top of Spanish Steps.
