1bed/1bath apartment in Panzano, Tuscany Chianti WhenApril 2005, One Week LocationPanzano is a little village on Chianti Road. Panzano was a friendly and fun village. We liked it so much we spent two days just enjoying it. If you can plan a trip for the week of their festival, do so. The festival was the best part of the trip. We completely adored Panzano. Nearby AmenitiesThe town had just about everything: grocery store, cafe, restaurants, camera store, gelateria. Panzano is hilly (think San Francisco) so be prepared to drive if you mind hills. The House/ApartmentPaesino was like something out of a movie. The bedroom window opened onto a vista that encompassed nearby red rooftops and sweeping Chianti landscapes. It also had modern amenities, complete with dishwasher and coffee and tea makers that went on the stove. GardenThere wasn't really any outside sitting area attached to the villa, but Panzano has benches and piazzas, so it didn't matter. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasVery clean. Felt like home. Bedrooms/BathroomsAlso clean and nice. KitchenLoved the kitchen. We made more than one meal in it, which was very relaxing. Problems or BonusesNo screens on the windows, so the bugs flew in sometimes. But that is really the only criticism I had. Agency and Representatives (and price)I really liked Rentvillas. The woman who worked with me was helpful and prompt. The couple that run the on-site apartment did not speak English. They were very understanding with my rusty Italian, though. If you decide to vacation here, write down some phrases to ask/say. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Yes! Even though it wasn't a honeymoon (we had a friend travelling with us) I would say it was the perfect honeymoon spot. Things to do in this areaWe saw Siena, Florence, Tuscany, and Pisa. Pisa and Siena were our favorite tourist spots, but Florence had a great night life. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
