apartments on a farm near Assisi, Umbria

Location

Brigolante is a wonderful old farm in the mountain above Assisi. It was very beautiful and peaceful, a lovely place to walk with gorgeous views, and convenient for visiting nearby hilltowns by car.

Nearby Amenities

Groceries, bakeries, and restaurants were an easy drive away, either a short distance down the mountain or at the base of the mountain.

The House/Apartment

The apartment is a new addition within an old farm structure. It was very comfortable, with a beautiful modern bath, a nice kitchenette and dining nook, a TV, and sufficient room for four to relax. There were two other apartments. There is a washing machine in the apartment and a line for hanging clothes behing the house. There were nice walking paths through and around the farm.

Garden

Not only is there a nice table outside for relaxing by the lawn but there is a vegetable garden from which Rebecca, the owner, invited us to take whatever we wanted. There are beautiful vistas from the farm.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Everything was impeccably clean and in great shape. There was sufficient furniture and supplies and kitchen items for four.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The antique bed was very firm. There was also a pullout sofabed. There was a large bathroom, which was very nice and included a large number of American-style towels.

Kitchen

The kitchen was equipped for making basic meals for four.

Problems or Bonuses

There were no problems. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would definitely stay here again. The apartment was very nice and Rebecca was a terrific host. She allowed us to use her Internet when needed, brought us homemade foods, and was always willing to provide suggestions on where to visit and how to navigate the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit -- the farm, the host family, and the beautiful area of Umbria.
