Review by CheriB from IL

1bed/1bath apartment in Montepulciano, Tuscany South

2005, 1 week

Our rental was in the city of Montepulciano. We had been to Tuscany before, loved this town. We picked this becasue it is a perfect place to headquarter yourself, to be central to other key cities. It is in the heart of the town, on the third floor. Wonderful views, easy access to everything.

Nearby Amenities

Everthing was close by, a short walk. Montepulciano is a not an overbearing city.

The House/Apartment

The apartment is from the 16th century, in very good shape. It was very quiet, we were on the third floor with a wonderful view of the countryside. I think there were 3-4 other apartments, but could not tell by the layout. We felt very comfortable the entire time and quite secure.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The apartment was quite large for two people. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a very nice kitchen, very open. We truly enjoyed all the windows, never felt closed in.

Everthing was fine for two people.

Everthing was fine. You could cook if you wanted to. However it was vacation, so I left cooking back in the States and just picked up some local food for breakfast.

Problems or Bonuses

I really could not believe how large this was and how open.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

This is the second time I have used this agency; they are wonderful to work with, aways follow up with you in a timely matter and provided us great documentation to help us on our trip. Directions, maps and a calling card, how perfect. They do a very fine job from start to finish. The person on site spoke perfect English, gave us a little tour of the area and provided us a back up cell phone. (I wasn't sure if mine would work or not). He gave us multiple numbers to reach him in case of an emergency.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Yes! Oc course. I would do the same trip next week if I could, it was perfect.

Things to do in this area

It's Tuscany! There are many cities to visit, many wines to taste, many churches to visit. You could stay at the same place each year and have a new adventure each time.
