cottages on a farm near Paciano, Umbria WhenOctober 1 - 7, 2005, one week ReviewIl Fontanaro was a dream come true. We had planned an Italian vacation for years, and this beautiful farm with its congenial hosts was the perfect place to stay. The cottages were beautifully decorated with antiques, but the baths were large, clean and modern. All was as comfortable as home. Roses, vegetables and fruits were just outside our door and the view from the terrace seemed unchanged from the sixteenth century. We could easily walk or drive to picturesque walled villages, and the main railroad line and highway between Florence and Rome was just minutes away. We recommend this magic place for the vacation of a lifetime. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
