villa, sleeps 10, near Cortona, Tuscany East 
WhenSeptember 10 - 17, 2005, 1 week LocationThe villa was beautiful, spacious and well equipped, with a swimming pool, large garden and table tennis. We arrived on the Saturday and got married in Cortona on the Thursday and had a completely magical week. Terretrusche were unbelievable, making sure everything was perfect from the food the night before the wedding to the actual wedding day etc. The owner of the villa sent flowers before the wedding which was a lovely touch. She also turned up every day to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, she was extremely friendly too. Terretrusche, in my opinion, were outstanding from the service they delivered, to the calibre of the villa and the personal touches they added for our wedding. An unforgettable experience. Nearby AmenitiesShort drive to the supermarket, short drive to Cortona up a bendy road to a fabulous old town. The House/ApartmentHouse was in good shape, peaceful and quiet (barking dogs to be heard every now and then). Double room on the ground floor with louge and shower room, double room ensuite with lounge and kitchen on 1st floor, double room with basin and lavatory on 2nd floor with potential room for a cot, steep stairs up to twin room in the roof, with shower room, probably suitable for children. In addition, a small outside house with twin room and bathroom as well as separate small building with kitchen/breakfast room. GardenFantastic large garden, swimming pool and table tennis. Parking. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasFurniture was extremely good with clean linen. Ample chairs for everyone. We needed a kettle and within 24 hours the owner bought a new one. Bedrooms/BathroomsComfortable beds, very pleasant bedrooms, enough bathrooms, which were clean. Kitchen2 kitchens - 1 on the 1st floor, well equipped, the other in a building outside, fantastic separate area similar to a breakfast room, with table and chairs outside as well as inside. Problems or BonusesEverything was better than we expected!!! Agency and Representatives (and price)Agency were outstanding - they spoke fluent English, the owner was Italian, her English not as good but speaking in broken Italian/English soon broke the ice. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I recommend this villa - absolutely. Things to do in this areaGet married! Lovely restaurants in Cortona, 1.5 hours from Florence or driving distance from Bologna, Rome or Pisa too. We went to quite a few restaurants and they were all good with good service.
