Location

Private spot overlooking the Mediterrenean Sea. Set in a garden of lemon, olive and cypress trees. Country living in the small city of San Remo and close to the medieval hill towns.

Nearby Amenities

Grocery shopping was a five minute drive from the house. There was one restaurant within walking distance.

The House/Apartment

It is a well kept charming little house.

Garden

Garden overlooks the sea. It is private. There is no pool.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

House is impeccably kept and comfortably furnished.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was spacious with second toilet and sink in enclosed compartment.

Kitchen

Kitchen is well equipped. I cooked full meals almost every night.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

We have been using Doorways to rent properties in both Italy and France for about 10 years. We have never been disappointed. They are very helpful and do not oversell their listings. We have rented in Tuscany, Florence, Provence, the French Riviera, the Italian Riviera, The Emilia Romagna, and the Languedoc and have been delighted with each and every place.

Yes...in fact we have rented Uliveto twice!

Things to do in this area

The medieval hill towns on both sides of the border are wonderful. Menton and Monaco are about 30 minutes away. In San Remo, Paolo and Barbara is a lovely restaurant. Peillon, an exsquisite hill town above Nice is the home of a delightful inn and restaurant...Auberge de la Madone. We have both stayed and dined there several times as it is only about 20 minutes from the Nice airport. It is also worth a day excursion from San Remo. The food as well as the views are spectacular.
