WhenOctober 2005, 1 week LocationLe Manzinaie is a beautiful agriturismo located approximately 10 kilometers from the hilltown of Montepulciano. It was centrally located and neighboring towns were easy to reach by car. There is a train station just 2km away with access to many other Italian cities. Perfect location for a relaxing vacation. Nearby AmenitiesYou will definitely need a car to access the neighboring towns. Grocery store and restuarants were approximately 3km away. The House/ApartmentThe building is a totally refurbished farmhouse built in 1878. The building was very nicely decorated and comfortable. It was so quiet, we felt like we were the only people staying there. I believe there are four apartments in the main building and a seperate building that can be rented. GardenThe surrounding property was covered in flowers and fruit trees in addition to a large vegtable garden. Le Manzinaie also has a very nice pool and patio area around the pool. Perfect for relaxing during the warm season. We enjoyed walking around the property and discovering all the hard work that went into making Le Manzinaie such a beautiful place. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasApartment was very clean. All furnishings were in great shape. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bedroom was nice. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of places to put our clothes. The bathroom was huge and included a shower and a seperate spa tub. KitchenThe kitchen was perfect sized for us. There was plenty of dishware and pots and pans to accomodate all of our cooking needs. The refridgerator was even stocked with some food to get us started. Problems or BonusesEverything about our stay was great. I can't say enough good things about our stay at Le Manzinaie. The host family was so friendly and even invited us to a family style dinner one evening. That was probably the best meal we have ever eaten. When we arrived late, they graciously picked us up from the train station. The next morning they insisted on driving us to pick up our rental car. When you stay at Le Manzinaie you are not simply a guest, you are part of the family. I tell everyone I meet that they need to travel to Italy and stay with our new friends at Le Manzinaie. Agency and Representatives (and price)I booked directly with the owners. They answered my emails quickly and spoke good English. All information that I received on the internet was accurate. The price paid was cheap compared to the value of our stay. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I recommend Le Manzinaie to anyone traveling to Italy. It was the nicest vacation my wife and I have ever taken. The host family is so friendly and the property is immaculate. The most relaxing part of our trip was spending time at Le Manzinaie.
