2bed/1bath apartment, Camp dei Fiori, Rome When31 Dec 2005 - 05 Jan 2006, 5 nights LocationSituated in the heart of old Rome, very close to Camp dei Fiori. Nearby AmenitiesRestaurants and shops very close just up the street few minutes. Right beside Camp dei Fiori where there is a food market every morning. The House/ApartmentHistorical building, very old. When I first entered the hallway of the apartment I was a little worried as it looked the worse for wear, but I need not have worried our apartment was on the 2nd floor. The apartment was very spacious with very high ceilings but had a very comfortable ambience. The apartment has two living room areas. The bedroom is sectioned off from one of the living rooms by double doors and the other bedroom is accessed by stairs at the side so it's a loft room, looking down over the living room. The ceiling height for the loft bedroom is very low. GardenThere is no garden. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furniture in the apartment was perfect. There was ample seating for up to 8 people. This apartment has a very lived in ambience lots of bookshelves with books in them, a piano (I dont know if its working as I don't play). The dining room area had table and six chairs. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds were very comfortable. As described the loft bedroom has a very low ceiling. Bathroom was very clean and functional. KitchenDid not do any cooking in kitchen, just made coffee. Kitchen is small with full size cooker, fridge, and all utensils. Problems or BonusesWe were collected from airport by the manager Mauro Sacchetta as was agreed when I booked apartment. He presented us with bottle of champagne as it was New Year's Eve which was very thoughful. Agency and Representatives (and price)From the first email that I sent to Mauro Sachetta all my dealings were dealt with efficiently and I was responded to within the same day. When we arrived in rome Mauro colected us from the airport and spoke good English. The apartment was much as I expected. I paid E 1050 for 5 nights from 31 Dec 05 - 05 Jan 06 - this included collection and return to Airport we also did not have to leave apartment until 17.00 pm on 5th day the time we required to leave for airport. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Yes I would stay here again. The location is brilliant - very close to Camp dei Fiori, lots of life in day time with market and at night time with bars restaurants. Via de Pellegrino is central about E6 taxi ride to Vatican and about same to Colleseum. The only reservation I would have about the apartment is the set up of the bedrooms. As I already described the main bedroom is part of one of the living rooms and is shut off from this room by double doors, the other bedroom is above this in loft style room looking out on same living room with very low ceiling. Things to do in this areaIn the general area there is 3 min walk to the Camp dei Fiori, every morning there is a market in the square selling fruit veg flowers and loads of other items. It's very busy with a great vibe. Lots of restaurants in the area. At night lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. At most 10 minute taxi ride to both the Vatican and Colosseum.
