WhenJuly 2005, 1 week LocationThe Podere Cerchiaia is located 5 kilometers away from Sarteano (Siena), only 12 km off the A1 exit of Chiusi-Chianciano. The villa belongs to the Tenuta di Spineto (Spineto Estate) together with other 10 villas spread in a property of approx 200 acres of wild and beatiful Tuscan environment. Nearby AmenitiesThe location is very central for exploring the south-of-Siena part of Tuscany. The staff of the estate and their English-fluent staff (Beatrice and Cristina), provide you with a detailed printed itinerary of neighboring towns (Montepulciano, Montalcino, Cortona, Perugia, Siena are all very easy to get to from here). The House/ApartmentCerchiaia is a XV-century independent farmhouse of approximately 460 square meters and sleeps 14 with 2 additional beds. The ground floor has a large front entrance, sitting room with staircase to the first floor, and large dining/sitting room with fireplace. A spacious kitchen opens to the dining room. The kitchen has a small open patio in the garden. There are two twin double bedrooms with twin beds and private bathroom with shower. One has direct access to the garden. There is one double bedroom with queen size beds and a private bathroom with shower. On the first floor there are two twin double bedrooms, each with private bathroom and shower, one twin double bedroom with a sofa bed and ensuite shower room, one room with double bed and a sofa bed and a private bathroom with tub. GardenThe garden is gorgeous and huge located on a panoromic spot between Monte Cetona and the River Orcia, which give the name to the Val d'Orcia Valley (UNESCO PRESERVED AREA). The private swimming pool (rectangular 6 x 12 meters) is placed over a cliff dominating the valley. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasEnough satisfied with these aspects. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds were luxurious and very comfortable. KitchenUsable and huge kitchen. Plenty of pots and pans and crockery all of good quality. Problems or BonusesNot at all!!!!!!! Agency and Representatives (and price)We found Cerchiaia in the internet on www.tuscanyandvillas.com and deal with the owners very easily! Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Absolutely!!!!! For those who love a secluded and private experience the Spineto Estate represents a valid choice.
