1bed/1bath apartment near Campo dei Fiori, Rome WhenDecember 2005, 1 week LocationThe apartment is in a wonderful location. A very short walk to the lovely Campo de Fiori, 5 minutes to Piazza Navona, 20 minute walk to the Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill, close to the Pantheon, walking distance to the Vatican and a pleasant stroll across the Tiber to Trastevere. Nearby AmenitiesThere is a well stocked grocery store nearby and so many wonderful food shops. Best of all is the market in Campo de Fiori. The House/ApartmentCheck out the website, www.rome-is-home.com It gives a very accurate description of the apartment and the neighborhood, including insight into its rich history. GardenThere is no outside area (except, of course, the city of Rome!) But the views from all of the windows are lovely! Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe apartment is very comfortable and very clean. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bedroom is nice and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is more than adequate. KitchenThe kitchen is small but well equipped. We found everything we need to cook several meals there. Problems or BonusesAs mentioned in other reviews, the best part of renting this apartment is the owners. Massimo, Biancamaria and Delfina welcomed us so warmly and their friendship is our best souvenir of Rome. Agency and Representatives (and price)Visit their website. It is detailed and accurate and will give you all of the information you need to decide if this is the best place for you. Massimo and Biancamaria speak English very well and are extremely helpful and kind. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We will stay here again! Things to do in this areaWe enjoyed two great meals at Arnaldo, just steps away. Visit Namastey if you like tea, it's realy wonderful. The bakery just up the street is worth a trip to Rome. The market in the Campo de Fiori is a must. We really enjoyed strolling across the Ponte Sisto to Trastevere where there is a multitude of restaurants, shops and cafes. We took several tours with Context:Rome, which we highly recommend. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
