2bed/1bath on Campo dei Fiori, Rome WhenApril 2006, 3 days LocationThis is right on Campo dei Fiori, with exterior windows facing a side street/alley. Interior windows face the inside courtyard of the building. Nearby AmenitiesMany bars, restaurants, the market, food shops. Big grocery store within a few blocks. No shortage of amenities. The House/ApartmentBuilding is old, yes. In good shape, secure. Elevator. Flat is small but fine. Only complaint is one bedroom has windows facing the street. Even with double glazing the noise from Campo is LOUD until 2-3 am. There is a futon in the eating area that can be used instead, so no worries. After a bottle of wine you could sleep through it, I suppose. The main bedroom is quiet (not silent, but quiet enough). Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasClean, kitchen was well stocked. Table is large. Bedrooms/BathroomsBeds were better than I expected. They accommodated our infant with a mini-crib. Bathroom had towels but, of course, no shower curtain. (Why is that?) KitchenKitchen was fine. No dishwasher, but otherwise adequate. Problems or BonusesComfortitalia were very helpful in arranging airport transfers and accommodating our schedule. Very nice. Agency and Representatives (and price)Price is outrageous, but that's normal in Rome (and this is one of the cheaper places)! Cheaper than an equivalent hotel, though, and much nicer. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Yes, we would stay here again because we like the location. Easy to swoop in and find everything we need nearby. Things to do in this areaWander, shop, gaze and relax. Eat gelato. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
