Rome apartments and Rome hotels, wide choice of central apartments in Rome, Rome WhenSupposed to stay March 2006, reservation cancelled at last minute ReviewKnowing only too well how busy Rome can in May, I booked accomodation through this agency in January. Received the following email - less than 24 hours before my wife, my wife's parents and myself were due to fly to Rome. "we have to cancel your booking for the SUPREME apartment due to serious technical problems with the building. We apologize for the inconvience." When I called to find out a) What were the 'technical problems' I was told it had been flooded b) was there any alternatives - I received no replies, no help Leaving us with no accomodation within 24 hours of travelling to Rome in the very busy season of May could have ruined a holiday. If it was a legitimate reason for cancelling a booking they should have helped sort some type of accomodation out - even something temporary. Rome City Apartments ignored all attempts to contact them. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
