Location

The house is located in Civitella Marittima, this is a small village that lies in the hills between the cities Siena and Grosseto. The village and people in the village are very friendly. After a week we almost got the feeling we were one of the locals.

We knew Tuscany should be nice, but this was beautiful!! We loved the area and definately will come back to this area. The house is perfectly located whereas we were close to the cities which we liked to visit.

Nearby Amenities

You definately need a car in this area. A bakery is in walking distance, however for groceries you need to take the car. In the village is a restaurant that serves very, very nice food (ask the owner of the house for the name of the restaurant, she will even make the reservation for you in advance)!

The House/Apartment

The house/cottage is historical and in very good shape. It is peaceful and quiet and has a beautiful view into the Tuscany countryside.

Garden

There is not really a garden, however you can sit next to the house in the very nice morning sun with a cup of coffee in the private area.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

The house is in very good shape, comfortable and is unbelievably tidy.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The bedrooms were very tidy; there were enough pillows and sheets/blankets. The bathroom was very clean as well. The shower is small, but still there is enough space.

Kitchen

The kitchen was perfect. Most of the evenings we cooked at the house. All pots and pans, cutlery were present.

Problems or Bonuses

The surprises were that it was so clean, there were even fresh flowers and chocolates put on a table in the living room!!!

Agency and Representatives (and price)

My boyfried had booked the house and had very good contact with the owner. When we had any questions, she would respond within a very short time and was unbelievably helpful.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I already recommended the house to my family and defintately will recommended it to my best friends! As explained above, the house is situated in a very nice place in Tuscany and nearby great cities (even when you like a bit of a drive Rome is great to visit).

Things to do in this area

When you go to Tuscany and will rent the house in Civitella Marittima, you definately need to eat at the restaurant in the village. Furthermore I would advise you to see Pisa, Siena, Florence, Rome, Grossetta, and the wine areas such as Chianti and Montelpulciano!

I am sure you will have an unforgetable time in Casina di Rosa (just as we had)!
