apartments near Figline Valdarno, Tuscany Chianti WhenApril 2006, 5 days LocationMy husband and I stayed at the farmhouse for our honeymoon. We could not have asked for a more warm, romantic, relaxing environment. Besides the atmosphere of the gorgeous vineyard right outside our door, the charming town of Figline Valdarno, the owners were the icing on the cake! Stefano's wine is wonderfully, intoxicating as was Grazia's (the lady of the house) feast that she prepared for us; they are truly artists. Their wonderful children Chiara and Michele were full of information and helped with translation. They truly made us feel as though their home and land was our very own. Nearby AmenitiesThe town of Figline Valdarno is about two minutes down the mountain. It takes no time at all to get to the "Coop" ,a local Pizzeria, or cafe. The House/ApartmentThe building was beautiful and very quiet. Right when you walk in the front doors of the lower apartment (which is where we stayed) you are in the kitchen. It has a cute, little table with a complementary bottle of Stefano's wine and a sitting area. To the right is the bedroom with a desk, closet, European shower and a powder room. GardenThere was a little table and chairs outside. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe house was spotless and it was extremely comfortable. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bed was very comfortable, there was even extra heaters in case we were cold (besides the wall heaters). KitchenThe kitchen was very, usable, it had a fridge, pots and pans all good quality. Problems or BonusesIt was exactly as I imagined (from the website) but much better in person! Agency and Representatives (and price)We went through Vacation Rental by Owner and it was very reliable. The contact person was great, he got back to us in a timely fashion and all was well! Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Absolutely! We hope to return as often as possible. Especially for our one year anniversary! Things to do in this areaWhile we stayed at the farm we were able to take our car and/or jump on the train to Arezzo, Siena, Montepulciano, Florence and Rome (besides all of the little towns along the way).
