1bed/1bath apartment in Pisa, Tuscany West WhenMay 29 - June 5, 1 week LocationGreat location just a couple of minutes walk from the leaning tower. Nearby AmenitiesNearby everything, good supermarket round the corner called Pam (if you buy vegetables you must weigh them yourselfs and put the sticky label on the bag). Railway station just a minutes walk around the corner from apartment (Pisa S. Rossore). Also a bus stop just a few minutes walk down the road. Tip, if you want to use the internet cafes some ask for id (passport, driving licence) The House/ApartmentThe apartment was great. Marcel and Gloria provide a welcome basket. We were also left some wine and some pasta and also some water as well as plenty of information about Pisa and places to see and a list of good restaurants. They also left maps of Pisa and Florence (we left behind a map of Florence and a map of Lucca) GardenThey was a small balcony overlooking a small courtyard, which was great. It also had a washing line to dry your clothes the Italian way. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasLiving area also shares the kitchen, which was a good size and had everything you would need (icluding a dining table and a sofa bed). Everything was in great condition. Bedrooms/BathroomsBig space with lots of storage and also two bed lights and a view from the window of the leaning tower. Very comfy bed too (extra pillows provided as well). Bathroom was very good (no bath but a very good shower). All towels etc. were provided. KitchenYou got a good selection of utensils and pots and pans. We did a lot of cooking and the only thing we missed was a pizza cutter! Problems or BonusesBeing picked up by Marcel or Gloria from the airport and taken back as well for going home. Also you could ask them anything and they would do all they could to help. We kept in touch by email before we went as well so we were able to ask alot of questions before we arrived. Agency and Representatives (and price)Thought price was very good indeed. Booked direcly with owners by email and payed using paypal. We payed half upfront and the rest when we arrived. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?Yes, we would stay there again, and be happy to recommend it to others. Things to do in this areaFrom Pisa S. Rossore train station you can get to:
Or you can get the number 1 bus to the main train station insted of changing. Bus tickets are only 85cents. Visit the tower etc. after 6pm (all the tourists have usually left by then). This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
