3bed/3bath villa near Montespertoli, Tuscany Chianti WhenJuly 2006, 1 Week LocationPoggio Antico is located about 25 minutes southwest of Florence. The views were spectacular. Nearby AmenitiesTwo restaurants were a five-minute drive away, a nice restaurant and a pizza place. There was a small grocery store there but a larger grocery store was 15 minutes away. The House/ApartmentThe house was one of the nicest villas I have seen. It was filled with beautiful antiques and furnishings. There was one bedroom and bath downstairs and two bedrooms and baths up. There was a great kitchen that led right out to a beautiful outdoor patio. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary appliances. We ended up buying paper plates, paper towels, saran wrap and baggies and we were good to go. GardenBeautiful outdoor patio with table for six. Also a lot of pool seating from chaise lounges to chairs. There was a great pool that was very clean and refreshing. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasFurnitiure was in great shape and house was very clean. There were plenty of seating options throughout the house. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe beds were comfortable and bedrooms were well furnished. Beautiful armoirs in each bedroom. Each bedroom had its own bath. Also, there was an outdoor shower. KitchenThe kitchen was fantastic. They had all the amentities you needed and all were of great quality. The kitchen was great for preparing your own meals. You had everything you need. Problems or BonusesThe best surprise was that the owners will cook you dinner if you would like. It was the best meal I have ever had! They are the greatest owners, so nice and it is clear that they love this home. Agency and Representatives (and price)This was the first time I rented a villa and I could not have been happier with Rentvillas. They helped me secure a location. They promptly answered all my questions. Their website was extremely helpful and they post all feedback on their properties and do not sanitize any of it. That gave me a lot of confidence that I was not going to be suprised. The villa was better than expected. I think I paid around $3600 for the week - but split amongst three couples this was very reasonable. Directions and rental vouchers were sent out well in advance of my trip and my coordinator called to make sure I did not have any last minute questions. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would stay here again! Things to do in this areaFalcolone Restaurant in the nearby town of Montagnana was great!
