Apartments on estate just outside Siena, Tuscany Siena

Location

The rental is placed close to Siena. It is very private and quiet. You can walk to town (uphill), but taxi service to the city centre is prompt and not expensive. Borgo Grondaie offers both B&B and appartments. It might be a little hard to find; we had a GPS navigator that took us there (recommended for all renting cars for vacation!)

Nearby Amenities

A five-minute walk from the rental there is a large Coop supermarket, where you find everything you need! For all restaurant visits we went to the city centre.

The House/Apartment

The building housed two apartments. Very peaceful and quiet, and everything well kept.

Garden

Private and very nice outside area for eating and sunbathing. Also very nice common garden and large shared pool.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Everything was in good shape. The appartement was clean, neat and tidy. Equipment seemed to be new. Very efficient air conditioning.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Comfortable beds, very nice and clean bathroom.

Kitchen

Very usable kitchen (open kitchen/living room), well equipped. We only had breakfast and lunch at the apartment, but it would fine to cook dinner there also.

Problems or Bonuses

We found the Borgo Grondaie a property that exceeded our expectations. It is small, private, very clean and the garden area is beautiful.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The staff at Borgo Grondaie was very helpful and fluent in English. We found that the place was even nicer than we expected from the pictures.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

Yes.

Things to do in this area

Siena activities. We stayed there in the days just before the July 2 Palio, which made for a lot of colorful spectacles in town - great fun.
