We recently spent a week at this lovely spot, taking somewhat of a gamble as we could find no online reports of the property before booking. The house is located on a hillside facing the picturesque medieval walled hamlet of Lucignano. The village bars, restaurants and grocery store are a very short walk away, but Casa Fausta offers a quiet, semi-rural retreat.

Casa Santa Fausta is a two-storey, two bedroom brick country house with a full, well equipped kitchen. A few steps away is the family's beautiful private garden and swimming pool, which was extremely welcome after our hot days of sight-seeing. The proximity to the A1 motorway (Roma-Firenze) and the Perugia-Siena motorway made this a very convenient base for touring the region. We were also pleased that the cost was moderate in comparison to a number of others properties we considered.
