Review 2321: Levanto Rentals, Platani
1bed/1bath apartment in Levanto, Liguria
Aug. 25 - Sept. 1, 2006, 7 nights
We (husband, 4yrs daughter & I) rented an apartment in Levanto through Federico at Villa Margherita. He runs a beautiful Bed & Breakfast but we stayed in one of his apartments. It was everything and more than we had expected.
We were picked up at the train station by Federico's father. He drove us to the apartment (eight minute walk from train station) right near the center of town (then drove us back to the train on our departure).
The apartment is on the fourth floor of a new condo complex and was large and clean with a tearrace (ocean peek), laundry, linens, towels and everything we needed for the weeks stay. There is a large bedroom & hallway/entryway, narrow livingroom with a pull out couch, bathroom with shower & kitchen with washer/dryer, stove, fridge etc. All of the rooms (except bedroom) opened up onto the terrace. The apartment was only a short five-minute walk to the beach (which is sandy and calm and beautiful) with markets close by with all the fresh foods we could want.
Levanto is a wonderful little beach town that had more Italian families than tourists. It was a perfect place to stay with our daughter. There is a nice playground in the plaza and the beach is safe for swimming. We are already planning our next visit and would highly reccomend this apartment.
