I booked an apartment in Rome aproximately five months before I visited there. We were ending a wonderful three-week trip in Northern Italy with four days in Rome. It was such an awful experience that I feel the need to pass it on.

The apartment was completely misrepresented on the website. It was listed as two bedroom when actually it was only a one bedroom. There were five of us traveling together and three of us had to sleep in the kitchen where they had put some beds and called it a bedroom. Looking at the website now, I can see how they falsified the photos. Both toilets were broken and the air-conditioning did not work. I called the office right away and it became clear very quickly that they were not about to do anything. They make you pay cash when you arrive and refuse to give a refund. As I was traveling with my 75 year old parents, I was quite concerned about the situation. Our only alternative was to loose the €880 and find another accomodation. This seemed overwhelming with all of our luggage in busy Rome, not to mention that we really couldn't afford to throw away $1,000. I spent the first day and a half on the phone but got nowhere. They didn't even fix the toilets.
