Location

It was in the country but very close to several villages. We loved the location and setting. There was privacy but you were not isolated.

Nearby Amenities

It was a short drive, took less than 10 minutes, to a village where we bought groceries and dined in a restaurant.

The House/Apartment

We were in our own building which had been restored. It was in excellent shape and provided privacy and tranquility. Very peaceful and quiet. When you walked in there was a living/dining room with television and a fully equipped kitchen. Off to the side there was a large bedroom with it's own bathroom including a tub and shower.

Upstairs was another large bedroom with it's own bathroom with a shower. Overall there were about eight rentals.

Garden

We had our own sitting area. There was a beautiful garden and pool, which we shared.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

Yes to all of these questions. We even has some food provided when we arrived so we could have breakfast without needing to go shopping right away.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Very comfortable beds, large bedroom nicely furnished and each couple had their own bathroom with total privacy.

Kitchen

It was very usable, fully equipped and we enjoyed making breakfast every morning, some lunches and two dinners using some of the vegetables from the garden.

Problems or Bonuses

Exceeded our expectations. The setting, accommodations, and the extraordinary hospitality of our hosts. They were unbelievable. They went out of their way to assist us with directions, information and recommendations. They even hosted a full dinner for all their guests, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Agency was fine. Everyone spoke English. Very accurate information. Again the place exceeded our expectations.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would highly recommend to everyone. We would love to stay there again and next time we would spend two weeks.

Things to do in this area

We visited all the nearby hill towns as well as Siena, Florence and Perugia. We spent time exploring as well as tasting wines. We loved a restaurant in Aquaviva, less than a 10 minute ride from where we stayed. Went there for three dinners. Can't remember the name but our hosts recommended the restaurant.
