Review 2434: TuscanHouse, Il Palazzotto

Review by fmartel from Canada

6bed/6bath near Buonconvento, Tuscany South

October 2006, 10 nights

This villa is located in the country, approximately 10 minutes from the town of Buonoconvento in the hamlet of La Befa.

Nearby Amenities

There is a good sized COOP grocery store approximately a 10 minute drive from the villa as well as stores and one of the best restaurants we ate at.

The House/Apartment

The villa is beautifully decorated, quite spacious. A full size dining room that can seat 12 people, living room, fully equipped kitchen, lounge area on the main floor. Upstairs at the top of the stairs is another small sitting area as well as six bedrooms, four with en suites and a bathroom in the hall.

There is a covered patio outside with several table and chairs to sit at. the pool is located a few steps up from the main door with plenty of lounging chairs. The landscaping is lovely.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

This house is beautifully decorated with antiques, couches are all in good shape, clean. There are plenty of areas in this house to sit.

Bedrooms are spacious, beds comfortable, plenty of closet & dresser space. There are five bathrooms on the 2nd level of the house, four are en suites and one bathroom in the hallway.

Kitchen was extremely well equipped with pots, pans, serving dishes, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, wine carafes, utensils. There is nothing lacking in this kitchen. It is equipped for a cook.

Problems or Bonuses

The moment you walk into this villa, you are stunned by it's beautiful Tuscan decor.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

I booked with TuscanHouse, an Internet agency. I would highly recommend this agency for anyone looking for a villa in Tuscany. Zak is wonderful, extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering any questions we may have.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

I would highly recommend this villa to anyone who wants to experience a truly Tuscan experience!

Things to do in this area

This location is great for many day trips around Tuscany. There is so much in this area, hilltop towns, vineyards, markets. One of the best restaurants we ate at was 10 minutes away in Buonoconvento, I Poggioli. Service and food is excellent here.
