apartments on an estate near Montepulciano, Tuscany South WhenMay 2006, 6 nights ReviewWe loved our stay at Le Manzinaie and highly recommend it to anyone interested in feeling at home in Tuscany. We were warmly welcomed by Marzia, Fiore and Alice the moment we got there, and felt situated immediately. The apartment was very comfortable, and well stocked. We love the fact that they supplied us with wine, eggs, crackers, water, milk and juice on our first day so that we didn't have to go get groceries immediately, especially since we arrived on a Sunday, and no stores were open. They invited us over for dinners with the other guests and it was unforgettable! Not only was the food to die for and way more than we could've eaten, the experience was very memorable and precious, getting to know the other guests. It made us feel even more at home! Our apartment was very beautifully decorated with personal touches of stenciling and drawings done by Marzia who is quite an artist. The estate was immaculately kept by Fiore who maintain it tirelessly. Alice was always helping out after school, and full of information. The location is perfect for exploring southern Tuscany, where a lot of the towns are within an hour drive. Some of the towns we loved were Montepulciano, San Quirico D'Orcia, Pienza, Cortona, and Montechiello. They are picture perfect, great subjects for photographers. Even the roads between the towns have plenty of photo opportunities. We definitely highly recommend Le Manzinaie for those who want a "home away from home" experience in Tuscany. Not only did we have a great vacation, we made new friends whom we will never forget. The experience was priceless. Can't wait to go back! PS.
