2bed/2bath apartment near Campo dei Fiori, Rome

When

Oct 18-23, 2006, 5 nights

Location

The apartment was located on a quiet residential street in the Campo de Fiore neighborhood of Roma. Lots of antique stores in the area. Right across the street was a wonderful wine bar and there was a good selection of restaurants nearby. Quiet.

Nearby Amenities

A grocery store, Internet service, bakery, and many restaurants were all within a 2-3 minute walk from the apartment.

The House/Apartment

The building was historical - built in the 10, or 11th century. The stone steps up to the apartment are historical - cannot be changed or modified. But inside the apartment was newly remodeled and well decorated. There were perhaps three apartments in the building. There were two bedrooms, one a bit larger than the other; both with king size beds; linens were soft and comfy. The living room had two couches. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking any kind of meal - American coffee pot, toaster, dishwasher, gas stove, large refrigerator. The owner even supplied some groceries to start us off.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

All furniture was in good shape and comfortable. Very clean.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

The beds were comfortable. We had two bathrooms - both small but adequate. Plenty of towels supplied.

Agency and Representatives (and price)

Natalia met us upon arrival. She spent quite a bit of time with us showing us everything in the apartment. She spoke fluent English. We felt her description online was very accurately reflected. She had available in the apartment lots of local information including nearby restaurants (plus guest reviews), maps with locations of amenities marked out, tour books.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would definitely return here and would recommend it to others. The only reservation for some might be that the bathrooms are not en suite but we did not find this to be a big problem.
