studio apartment on Via dei Farnesi, Rome WhenNovember 2006, 1 week LocationVery well located in terms of being able to get anywhere in central Rome. I walked everywhere from here - to the Vatican, train station, Volpetti (for parmigiano), Trastevere, Colosseum. It is in a row of connected buildings on via dei Farnesi. Nearby AmenitiesGrocery stores on via del Monte Farina and Piazza Moretta. The House/ApartmentIt is a very old building, in great shape. It was a little chilly in November but the heat worked fine (and there was an air conditioner also). Three other apartments in the building. I felt very safe here in terms of the lock on the door also. It is one big room divided into the living area and dining area. Down the hall is the kitchen and bathroom. GardenNo outside area. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasFurniture was in great shape. I used the couch and the dining room chairs a lot. It is a studio, can't imagine this would be comfortable for more than two people. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bed was a round bed. It was very comfortable and had a very warm down comforter on it. KitchenSince I was by myself the kitchen was great, even though very small. I cooked a number of meals in it. Everything you could want was there in terms of pots and pans. They even have gloves for washing dishes. They are well supplied with paper towels, salt, pepper, etc. More than one person could not work in the kitchen. Problems or BonusesNo surprises, other than the traffic noise. And people noise leaving Campo dei Fiori on Friday and Saturday nights. Agency and Representatives (and price)Everything went smoothly in booking. I did it all by e-mail. The apartment was accurately represented. When I arrived at the apartment the daughter, Michaela showed me around, she spoke English very well and was very helpful. I paid €800 for seven nights in November. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?I would stay here again but you definitely need earplugs for sleeping as the car traffic on the street is quite noisy (one way street) due to the cobblestones. I would stay here again. Things to do in this areaI bought cheese at the local cheese shop off of Campo dei Fiori. There was an Internet cafe on vicolo delle Grotte.
