1bed/1bath apartment near Campo dei Fiori, Rome WhenNovember 6-10, four days LocationThe location of this apartment was excellent. We had the feeling of living in a Roman neighborhood. We felt totally safe in the evening as well as during the day. Nearby AmenitiesIt is in the Campo dei Fiori neighborhood with an Internet cafe around the corner, a bakery, a deli, a supermarket and many other shops and restaurants within a block or two. The House/ApartmentThe building is historical and was part of an ancient theater complex. The apartment has a large bedroom with a king sized bed, a bath with a shower, a nice kitchen with a washer (it is also a dryer, but you are better off using the clothes rack in the hall closet), microwave, stove and full refrigerator. There is also full complement of utensils and dishes. The living room and dining area are quite spacious, so you can spread out and relax after a day of touring. GardenThere was no garden or outside sitting area. Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living AreasThe furniture was comfortable and in very good shape. The apartment was spotless. Bedrooms/BathroomsThe bed was firm and there was plenty of space for hanging clothes. The shower is a little small, but fine and the rest of the bathroom is fairly spacious. KitchenWe only made breakfasts in the kitchen, but one could easily prepare full meals there. Problems or BonusesThere were no surprises in this apartment. It looked just as it does on the web site, which is lovely. The views from the high floor (good/but tiny elevator) are just fantastic. A bonus is the convenience of the location. You can walk to most sites in Rome. Agency and Representatives (and price)Massimo and Bianca Maria speak excellent English. They were very helpful and left a number where they could be contacted at all times. Do you recommend this vacation rental to others? We were drawn to Rome Is Home because of the reviews we read on Slow Travel. We would recommend this apartment to our best friends/family/colleagues, etc. Things to do in this areaWe explored the wonderful market in the Campo dei Fiori and shopped in the nearby stores. We will review the nearby restaurants in the appropriate review section. This review is the opinion of a Slow Travel member and not of slowtrav.com. |
